Local Girls will screen at the Cinemalaya Film Festival 2011

Local Girls has been picked as an official selection in the NETPAC Category of the 2011 Cinemalaya Film Festival. It has been chosen to be among the eight new independent films competing for the Cinemalaya Netpac Prize.

NETPAC (Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema) is a worldwide organization of more than 30 member countries and is composed of critics, filmmakers, festival organizers and film educators. NETPAC works towards the discovery and promotion of Asian films.

This year’s Cinemalaya Film Festival will be held on July 15 to 24, 2011 at the Cultural Center of the Philippines.
